Decisive Investor Browser Extension Privacy Policy

Effective date and last updated: July 22, 2026

This policy explains how Decisive Investor LLC ("Decisive Investor," "we," "us," or "our") handles information through the Decisive Investor browser extension (the "Extension"). The Extension connects the Decisive Investor portal with supported brokerage websites to help a signed-in customer complete requested account workflows.

The Extension does not sell user data, use it for advertising, or collect general browsing history. It operates only on the Decisive Investor portal and the supported Fidelity and Schwab websites identified in the Extension's permissions.

1. Scope

This policy applies to information handled by the Extension. Our general website privacy policy applies to the Decisive Investor website, portal account, marketing, and other services. Fidelity and Schwab operate their own websites and process information under their own privacy policies.

2. What the Extension Does

When a user requests an action through the Decisive Investor portal, the Extension can find and focus the appropriate supported brokerage tab, navigate to the relevant brokerage page, read information needed for that action, download requested brokerage history, transfer requested positions or open-order information back to the Decisive Investor portal, and prepare or assist with brokerage order workflows for the user to review.

3. Information the Extension Handles

Decisive Investor account and workflow information

The Extension may receive information displayed by the Decisive Investor portal that is necessary to complete a requested workflow. Depending on the action, this can include a Decisive Investor user or account identifier, brokerage name, brokerage account name or number, cash balance, investment symbol, share quantity, price, order type, order status, expiration date, and related trade instructions.

Supported brokerage page information

The Extension may read content visible on supported Fidelity or Schwab pages when needed for a user-requested action. This can include account labels or numbers, positions, transaction or history information, open or pending orders, order status, investment symbols, quantities, prices, dates, and other information displayed in the relevant brokerage workflow.

Technical and operational information

The Extension handles supported tab identifiers and URLs, the requested action and its success or failure result, timestamps, the Extension version, browser user-agent information, and download status. It uses this information to route the requested action, display status to the user, and maintain reliability.

Automatic failure diagnostics

If a supported brokerage action fails because a brokerage page's structure appears to have changed, the Extension automatically creates a diagnostic report. The report can include the brokerage name, requested action, error information, attempted page selectors, page URL, Extension version, browser user agent, capture time, and a copy of the brokerage page's HTML, including accessible open shadow-DOM content.

A page snapshot can incidentally contain personal or financial information visible in the page at the time of failure, such as an account label or number, position, balance, transaction, or order information. Script contents are removed from the snapshot. The report is sent through the signed-in Decisive Investor portal and associated on our systems with the applicable Decisive Investor user and account identifiers. The Extension generally limits a full snapshot for the same unique failure on a device to no more than once in a 24-hour period; repeat failures can send metadata-only occurrence reports.

Information the Extension does not intentionally collect

The Extension does not request, read, or store brokerage passwords, browser authentication cookies, or browsing history outside the supported Decisive Investor, Fidelity, and Schwab sites. It does not use brokerage or portal information to build advertising profiles. Because a diagnostic snapshot captures page structure and visible content, it may incidentally contain information beyond the specific failed page element as described above.

4. Browser Permissions

Permission Why it is used
Tabs and active tab Find, open, focus, and navigate supported Decisive Investor and brokerage tabs needed for a requested workflow.
Scripting and site access Run the Extension's interface and automation on the Decisive Investor portal and the specifically listed Fidelity and Schwab sites.
Storage Temporarily retain pending operations, action results, download state, and a limited diagnostic fingerprint cache.
Downloads Start or monitor a brokerage-history download requested by the user and report whether it completed.

5. How We Use Information

We use information handled by the Extension only to:

  • provide the user-requested connection between the Decisive Investor portal and a supported brokerage site;
  • download, import, or display requested brokerage history, positions, and open-order information;
  • prepare, locate, or assist with an order workflow requested by the user;
  • show action status, recover a short-lived pending action after navigation or login, and prevent duplicate operations;
  • diagnose page-structure changes, fix failures, maintain security, and improve the Extension's reliability; and
  • comply with law and protect users, Decisive Investor, and others from fraud, abuse, or security threats.

6. Local Storage, Server Storage, and Retention

  • Browser-session storage: Pending action details, action results, and download status are kept in Chrome's in-memory extension session storage. Pending actions expire after approximately 60 seconds. Session storage is cleared when the browser restarts or the Extension is disabled, reloaded, or updated.
  • Diagnostic fingerprint cache: A diagnostic fingerprint and its last-sent time can be stored locally for up to seven days to limit repeated page snapshots. It does not contain the page snapshot itself.
  • Downloaded files: A brokerage-history file requested by the user is saved through the browser's download system and remains on the user's device until the user deletes it.
  • Diagnostic reports: Diagnostic metadata and any stored page snapshot are retained on Decisive Investor systems for up to 60 days, subject to scheduled deletion. We limit stored snapshots for the same failure to a small number of affected users.
  • Portal records: Information submitted to or saved in a Decisive Investor account is retained under the account and website practices described in our general website privacy policy and applicable service requirements.

7. When Information Is Shared

We do not sell or rent information handled by the Extension. We may disclose it only as follows:

  • Decisive Investor: Information needed for a requested workflow is exchanged with the signed-in Decisive Investor portal. Authorized Decisive Investor personnel may review diagnostic metadata and page snapshots to investigate and correct Extension failures.
  • Supported brokerage: At the user's direction, the Extension interacts with Fidelity or Schwab through the user's existing signed-in brokerage session. Information entered into or submitted through a brokerage site is received by that brokerage under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Service providers: Vendors that provide cloud hosting, databases, security, and storage, including Microsoft Azure, may process diagnostic or portal data for us under service-provider obligations.
  • Legal and security reasons: We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights and safety, or investigate fraud, abuse, or a security incident.

The Extension does not share information with advertising networks, data brokers, or unrelated analytics providers.

8. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Decisive Investor's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We limit use of Extension data to providing or improving the Extension's single purpose and related security and reliability functions. We do not use or transfer Extension data for personalized advertising, creditworthiness or lending decisions, or sale to data brokers.

9. User Choices and Data Requests

  • A user controls when normal brokerage workflows begin by selecting the corresponding action in the Decisive Investor portal.
  • A user can stop future Extension activity by disabling or uninstalling it through the browser. Uninstalling removes Extension-managed local storage; it does not delete files already downloaded or information already stored in a Decisive Investor account.
  • A user can delete downloaded brokerage files through the browser or operating system.
  • A user can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that we control. We will verify and respond to requests as required by applicable law.

10. Security

Diagnostic reports are transmitted to the Decisive Investor portal over HTTPS through the user's authenticated session. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access restrictions for diagnostic information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

The Extension is intended for Decisive Investor customers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Extension. If you believe a child has provided information through the Extension, please contact us.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the Extension's features, data practices, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the date above. If an update materially changes how the Extension handles user data, we will provide any additional notice or consent required by applicable law or Chrome Web Store policy.
